VETA has established a special procedure for enrollment to obtain training in the institutions it owns. The procedure is as explained below:
VETA offers both long-term and short-term training in various systems;
For long-term training, all colleges advertise available enrollment opportunities every year in the month of August. The advertisements are published through national media and on the website www.veta.go.tz;
An applicant must have completed primary education, secondary education, or higher;
An applicant obtains an application form from any nearby college. These forms contain information about all colleges owned by VETA, including the courses offered, the location of each college, and whether it is a day or boarding institution;
An applicant is allowed to sit for the entrance examination in the region where the form was obtained, but may choose to study in any region of their choice according to their needs;
An applicant is required to sit for the entrance examination (Aptitude Tests) in the month of October, and those who succeed are notified in December in order to begin their studies in January of the following year;
A successful applicant is issued with an admission letter that explains all the important requirements. The requirements differ from one college to another depending on the course applied for, and also on whether it is day or boarding;
Under this procedure, an applicant begins admission at Level I (Level 1), which is the lowest level. Applicants who progress to higher levels (Level II–III) must meet the criteria of passing the respective level in order to advance to the next level.
